Welcome to BJØRK

BJØRK Innovation is a non-profit research and innovation organisation working with municipalities and other public sector partners in Sweden, Norway and the EU.

Through R&D partnerships, we bring together public organisations, academia, businesses and citizens to address complex societal challenges. Together, we develop new knowledge, test new approaches and turn research and innovation into solutions that can be implemented and shared.

Since 2010, our team has contributed to more than 175 research, development and innovation projects and 30 long-term community innovation programmes across the Nordic region and Europe.

More of what we do

How we work

From local needs to new solutions

We define societal needs together with local communities and public sector partners, and connect them with research, technology and expertise to develop, test and implement new solutions.

Collaboration across sectors

Municipalities, academia, businesses and citizens contribute different perspectives, knowledge and resources.

Long-term R&D partnerships

We work side by side with public sector partners over several years, building knowledge, capacity and portfolios of concrete innovation projects.

Open knowledge and shared learning

Knowledge and results from our R&D activities are shared across organisations, municipalities and networks to accelerate innovation beyond the individual project.
