A Formas-funded project that turns research and practical experience from Hammarby Sjöstad into web-based learning, planning tools and a community for housing cooperative boards across Sweden.
Housing cooperative boards can make a major contribution to energy efficiency and climate transition, but board members are often non-specialists facing complex technical and investment decisions. Proven experience exists, but it needs to be translated into practical learning and scalable support.
What the project does
The project packages research results and implemented solutions from ElectriCITY Innovation’s work with housing cooperatives in Hammarby Sjöstad. The learning journey helps boards understand their buildings, explore proven measures, build a step-by-step roadmap and learn from experts and other associations.
Key workstreams
Web-based training based on research and implemented examples from Hammarby Sjöstad.
An interactive tool for mapping the building and selecting relevant energy measures.
Expert support and a participant community for questions, peer learning and collaboration.
A continuation module focused on cooperation between housing associations, including joint procurement and energy communities.
